New! Coding Questions Queue

Purpose

Carina Health Network has created the Coding Questions Queue to provide timely, standardized responses to ICD-10-CM coding inquiries. This resource is designed to reduce coding-related delays and support compliance with coding guidelines. Once a message is received, a certified coder on the Carina team will respond within three business days, helping promote accurate and consistent coding practices across member community health organizations.

Who Can Submit Questions

Coders, providers, and other support staff may submit ICD-10-CM coding questions and expect a response within three business days.

Submission Guidelines

Please submit your question to coding@carinahealth.org. You will receive an automatic confirmation email with submission details. Please wait for a follow-up before reaching out again.

Eligible Questions

The Coding Question Queue is limited to ICD-10-CM coding questions. We are unable to answer questions related to:

  • CPT coding
  • CPT II coding
  • E/M leveling
  • HCPCs coding
  • Modifiers
  • Contract or payer-specific billing questions
  • Medicaid, commercial, or uninsured questions
