Carina Health Network Maintains Rigorous Security Standards with HITRUST Certification

November 20, 2025

For the third consecutive year, Colorado Community Managed Care Network (DBA as Carina Health Network) has earned HITRUST Implemented, 1-year (i1) + HIPAA Certification for its community applications, including Snowflake, Innovaccer, and the Community Analytics Platform (CAP). This rigorous certification demonstrates Carina’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding sensitive health data and maintaining high standards of cybersecurity across its network.

As a statewide Health Center Controlled Network (HCCN), Carina leverages comprehensive patient data to help member community health organizations enhance care delivery. By unifying siloed information and connecting members to resources that enable secure data governance and sharing, Carina strengthens the ability of its network to improve patient outcomes while keeping data and organizations secure.

“HITRUST i1 Certification gives our internal and external stakeholders confidence that we are following leading security practices,” said Terry Seidel, IT & Security Director at Carina. “Strong cybersecurity is critical to protecting our organization, partners, and the communities they serve. This certification demonstrates our ongoing commitment to high standards for cybersecurity and data protection.”

Jeremy Huval, Chief Innovation Officer at HITRUST, added, “Carina’s certification is evidence that they are at the forefront of industry best practices for information risk management and cybersecurity.”

By achieving this certification, Carina Health Network not only strengthens its own cyber resilience but also reinforces trust with providers, payers, and patients, an essential component of delivering high-quality, data-informed care.
